Hi, I'm Nicola!

A few years ago I packed up life in the UK, moved my family to central Portugal, and started building a food forest. Not because I had it all figured out — but because I wanted to make change for my family - and others.

Now I spend my mornings walking among olive trees, feeding chickens, and obsessing over soil. And my evenings? Slowly turning a 3,000 m² plot into a living, chemical-free food system that feeds my family and proves what's possible.

But the dream doesn't stop at my fence.

I want to help re-green deserts across Europe and turn degraded land into thriving community food forests — places where local people grow real food, understand water, and feel connected to the land again.

Home & Harvest is how I'm getting there: practical education, honest storytelling, and a community of people who believe that growing food is one of the most safe and healing things you can do right now.
